Kent Bridge-raised singer-songwriter Jessica Allossery, now of London, is one of the many inspiring talents who have made it a joy to cover the arts here for more than 15 years at The London Free Press. Today (Jan. 26) is JBNBlog’s last day at The Free Press after more than 33 years in a row and about 35 in total.
JBNBlog has met many fine Londoners (in many fields) over the years. Jessica stands out as among the most talented (in many fields) & cheerfully & creative (again in many fields) . . . recently, online subscribers of SiriusXM’s Coffee House channel voted for Jessica & a song of hers I’ll Let You Go & it was a winner.

We receive numerous submissions for Coffee House on a daily basis, both from established labels and unsigned artists just starting out. It’s tough sometimes to find songs that have the right fit for the channel with the amount we listen to. One thing I tend to look for above all is a song that has both talent and heart, and when i first heard Jessica’s song, “I’ll Let You Go” i was transfixed by her voice and her message. As soon as Jessica was put into rotation on SiriusXM, we received (and continue to receive) emails daily asking about the song and where they can get it for themselves. That to me is one of the best feelings, succeeding in finding a song that resonates with our millions of subscribers. It’s a true testament to Jessica’s talent as a singer/songwriter, i look forward to what she does next
There is no cash prize involved with the award unfortunately. But as it is voted on by our subscribers, it’s a clear sign that, as an unsigned artist, she made a bigger impact than most
